Work Together

Different questions require

different depths of work.

Begin with the leadership question—not a predetermined pathway.

Unitive Mind™ offers one standalone diagnostic and two distinct developmental engagements. The appropriate form depends on what is asking for attention, how defined the question is, and whether the work requires continuity over time.

Standalone assessment

The Diagnostic

Four weeks · defined question

Self-directed program

The Threshold™

Eight modules · 90 days

Sustained engagement

The Inner Authority™

Continuity over time

Orientation

Not a ladder.
A question of fit.

The three forms of work are not stages that must be completed in order. Each exists for a different purpose. The task is to establish what kind of attention the leadership question actually requires.

The right engagement is the one proportionate to the question.

Sometimes clarity is the work. A current leadership issue may need rigorous psychological assessment before any longer engagement is useful. That is the role of The Diagnostic.

Sometimes continuity is the work. A defined question can be held within a bounded engagement; a recurring pattern unfolding across responsibilities may require sustained access and depth.

Standalone four-week engagement

When the question needs
to be understood first.

The Diagnostic is for a defined leadership question where the immediate need is not advice, but a clearer understanding of the psychological architecture beneath what is happening.

The Diagnostic.

We do not begin with strategy. We begin with what is shaping the leader beneath it.

Through biographical inquiry, depth interview and close examination of current executive dynamics, the four-week assessment identifies the patterns influencing judgement, authority and relationship. It concludes with a concise diagnostic brief outlining the developmental implications of what has been found.

  • Biographical inquiry and depth interview.
  • Identification of core patterns, projections and defences.
  • Examination of current board and executive dynamics.
  • Written diagnostic brief with developmental implications.

It stands alone. The Diagnostic is not a prerequisite for The Threshold™ or The Inner Authority™.

The developmental engagements

Different in scope.
Held to the same standard.

Both are distinct from The Diagnostic. The Threshold™ is a self-directed 90-day, eight-module program for independent depth work. The Inner Authority™ provides sustained private depth where continuity, direct accompaniment and integration matter over time.

Self-directed depth program

The Threshold

A structured 90-day crossing.

For leaders ready to undertake serious depth work independently. The Threshold™ is an eight-module self-directed program with written inquiry, audio narration, reflection exercises and contemplative practice, organised across a structured 90-day arc.

Best suited to
  • Serious independent depth work.
  • Eight structured modules across a 90-day arc.
  • Written inquiry, reflection and contemplative practice.
  • Audio narration by James Fox · one payment of $495.

Sustained private engagement

The Inner Authority

The deeper private engagement.

For senior leaders whose responsibilities require sustained psychological depth. The Inner Authority™ provides continuity across unfolding decisions, relationships and organisational pressures, allowing recurring patterns, projections and defences to be examined as they emerge—and integrated over time.

The work may include
  • Ongoing private depth sessions.
  • Real-time examination of emerging leadership friction.
  • Board, executive-team and organisational psychodynamics.
  • Sustained integration into leadership practice.
Private capacity

Limited to six concurrent clients.

The limit protects the continuity, responsiveness and discretion required at this depth. It is a condition of the work, not a scarcity device.

Choosing the form of work

What does the question
actually require?

Fit is determined less by status or seniority than by the nature of the question: whether the immediate need is understanding, focused developmental work or sustained continuity.

01

The issue is significant, but I need to understand what is actually operating beneath it.

A defined assessment can isolate the patterns and dynamics before deciding what, if anything, should follow.

The Diagnostic

02

I want a serious, structured way to undertake the depth work independently.

The work can be self-directed through eight modules of written inquiry, audio guidance, reflection and contemplative practice across a 90-day arc.

The Threshold™

03

The pattern is unfolding across responsibilities and needs continuity over time.

The value lies in sustained depth and the ability to work with emerging material as decisions, relationships and system pressures evolve.

The Inner Authority™

The conditions of the work

Private enough for candour. Exacting enough to resist simplification. Close enough to reality that insight must withstand consequence.

Candour The work requires a confidential perimeter in which material that cannot safely enter the organisation can be examined without performance or institutional consequence.
Participation The question is not only what others are doing, but what the leader may be carrying, defending against, projecting or unconsciously repeating within the situation.
Application Insight matters only insofar as it changes the quality of judgement, relationship and authority under the conditions in which leadership is actually exercised.

Private enquiry

If the form of work is not yet clear,
begin with the question.

Send a brief private enquiry outlining the leadership question you are carrying. James reviews enquiries personally and will respond where there is a relevant next step. No predetermined pathway is assumed.
